I think that dating on a NZ dating website like OK Cupid is nothing but a real numbers game. In a given week, if I am not seeing anyone currently, I might send 4-7 messages a week to women I find attractive and interesting. I take good care to personalize my messages, showing evidence that I have read the profile of the woman, and include one or two questions with which to engage her. Usually, 1-2 of the contacts will answer.
